Did you know that nowadays you can use Bitcoin to purchase a Windows VPS? If you’re here, you’re probably wondering how to do it.
Maybe you’re struggling with the technical jargon or the process seems complex. Don’t worry!
In this article I am going to show you step-by-step, how to buy VPS with crypto from one of my all time favorite Hosting providers.
Before we start with the tutorial, keep in mind that there are many VPS hosting providers that accept Bitcoin.
I don’t know which VPS provider you have in mind, but, if you are not sure which VPS provider to choose from, I suggest moving forward with Hostinger. I personally use Hostinger to host various web properties and I am really-really happy with them in terms of ease of use, customer support and most importantly, their value for money hosting plans.
So, for this article I am going to show you how to buy windows VPS using Bitcoin from Hostinger.
How to Buy Windows VPS with BTC From Hostinger
- Visit Hostinger
- Choose VPS Plan
- Choose the duration
- Fil your new account details
- Choose payment method
- Complete Checkout
1. Visit Hostinger
First you need to visit Hostinger.
Then click on the “Hosting” tab on the main menu and from the dropdown choose VPS Hosting.
2. Choose VPS Plan
Then, from the VPS Hosting page, you can directly click on the “claim deal” button or scroll further down and choose the VPS package of your choice.
I suggest you scroll down and study the VPS plans a bit.
For the sake of this example, I’ll move forward with the $6.99 plan. Just click on the “Add to Cart” button to get started.
In the next page, is where everything will happen:
- You’ll choose the duration of your VPS plan (1 month, 12 months or 24 months).
- Create your account
- Select your payment method (card, PayPal, Alipay, Coingate)
- Complete your contact details and checkout.
3. Choose The Duration
First of fall, choose the duration you want for your VPS plan. The 24 months period is the cheapest.
4. Fill Your New Account Details
Next, you’ll have to create an account.
What I like with Hostinger is their seamless processes. By filling your email and password, you will not be redirected to another page and then have return back to the checkout process to finish your purchase.
Your account will be created automatically based on the details you provided after you complete the purchase.
BE CAREFULL: DO NOT provide fake email accounts or anything funny, because important information about your account will be send to that email address.
5. Choose Payment Method and Fill Your Details
Next, things are a bit straight forward.
Just, choose Coingate as you preferred payment method, fill in your contact details and click the “Submit Secure Payment” button (now shown in the screenshot below).

6. Complete Checkout
Now the fan part.
As soon as you hit the Submit Secure Payment button, you’ll get redirected to Coingate’s checkout page.
Things are pretty straightforward from here.
You can choose to pay with Binance pay, choose Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Litecoin or even search for any crypto you want to pay with.
Coingate accepts like a ton of different cryptos for payment.
Keep in mind that you may choose to pay with Bitcoin Lightning network as well. Just toggle the option under Bitcoin.
After that click “Continue” to move to the next step. If you want a receipt add the email where you want Coingate to send you one. If not click the “continue without email” button.
Last, step is to actually send your preferred crypto to complete your purchase.
You get to see the amount of Crypto you have to send, you get to see a QR code which you simply need to scan with your wallet to send the crypto-payment and you get to see a timer which indicates the remaining time for you to complete your purchase.
Keep in mind that by purchasing with crypto, you are not eligible for a refund – as per Hostinger’s TOS – so keep that in mind.
Also, because of crypto payments are not received instantly by the vendor (in that case, Hostinger) as they require multiple confirmations on the blockchain, payment confirmation can take up to few hours but usually it happens within 20 minutes.
Once you payment is completed a “Continue to dashboard” button will appear that will and redirect you to your VPS’ control panel.
What’s the difference between Windows VPS and Linux VPN
A Windows VPS is more expensive than Linux due to its licensing fee, and it is generally used by larger businesses that are familiar with Microsoft-based technologies.
On the other hand, Linux VPS is popular among small and medium-sized businesses and individuals, as it is open-source, free-to-use, and allows for more control over the server setup and management.
The choice between a Linux VPS and a Windows VPS depends on factors such as cost, performance, ease of use, and security.
