Revolut has begun a phased rollout of EURR, a euro-backed stablecoin issued by Bridge, the Stripe-owned stablecoin infrastructure firm. The token is integrated directly into the Revolut retail app and is initially available to select customers in Denmark, Poland and Portugal.
For Bridge, this makes Revolut the first European client to deploy a custom stablecoin through its platform. This milestone follows Bridge’s European subsidiary securing its Luxembourg MiCA license as an electronic money issuer just a month ago in late July.
The stablecoin will initially be available on Ethereum, Polygon and Solana. Bridge plans to expand support to up to eight blockchain networks over time, and transfers to external wallets will also be supported.
