Strive buys 124 BTC, fourth among public companies

  • Strive acquired 124 Bitcoin for roughly $10 million between Oct. 24 and Oct. 30, paying an average of $80,526 per coin including fees.
  • The purchase brings its total holdings to 43,124 BTC, placing it fourth among publicly traded companies behind Twenty One Capital (43,514 BTC) and Metaplanet (44,000 BTC), according to Bitcoin Treasuries data.
  • Most of the buy used existing cash, and Strive tapped its new SATS preferred stock program for the first time, CEO Matt Cole said on X.

Strive, the Dallas-based Bitcoin treasury company co-founded by Vivek Ramaswamy, disclosed today that it bought 124 Bitcoin for roughly $10 million between Oct. 24 and Oct. 30, bringing its total stash to 43,124 BTC. CEO Matt Cole said on X that the company paid an average of $80,526 per coin including fees, with most of the purchase funded from existing cash.

The company tapped its new SATS preferred stock program for the first time, and Cole noted those proceeds represented 100% of the week’s fundraising. Strive now holds 43,124 BTC, worth approximately $3.3 billion at current prices, placing it fourth among public companies behind Twenty One Capital (43,514 BTC) and Metaplanet (44,000 BTC), according to Bitcoin Treasuries data.

At Bitcoin’s price of roughly $77,000, those gaps are worth about $30 million and $67 million respectively. Michael Saylor‘s Strategy remains the largest corporate holder with 849,327 BTC, nearly 20 times Strive‘s pile, per the SEC filing.

The company’s coins cost an average of $87,785 each, or about $3.8 billion in total, meaning the portfolio is currently worth slightly less than what Strive paid, according to its prospectus. Its amplification ratio, measuring preferred stock and debt against Bitcoin value, stood at 62.7%.

Cole said on the One Chair podcast in September that ending 2026 as the second-largest public Bitcoin holder is possible, though not his base case. At last week’s pace of 124 BTC, Strive would pass Twenty One Capital in four weeks and Metaplanet in eight, assuming neither company buys more.
