As you may have already noticed, in addition to their latest songs and official playlists, artists can also post promotional material for their merchandise and concerts on their Spotify pages.
Now, the platform is considering adding NFTs, which each artist will be able to promote on their profile.
Moving on to the details, according to a Music Ally report, Spotify has started experimenting with NFT galleries.

Initially the feature is available for select subscribers from the United States using the Android version of the app, profiling artists like Steve Aoki, who has openly expressed his enthusiasm for various Web3 technologies.
These galleries include several NFTs, with users being able to view each one individually, along with a description.
If one catches their eye, they can choose to see more, with Spotify redirecting them to OpenSea.

There they can purchase each NFT and thus support their favorite artist. At least for the trial period, The Verge reports that Spotify isn’t keeping a percentage of the profits.
For the record, even though the market for NFTs seems to be collapsing, with sales and public interest plummeting recently, Spotify isn’t the only platform testing this, as Instagram is also preparing something similar.
