Emirates’ Chief Operating Officer, Ahmed Al-Redha, said that the company is committed to faster and flexible interaction with customers, so it is ready to introduce the most innovative technologies into its business processes.

In this context, the airline will start accepting Bitcoin as a means of payment, while it is exploring the possibility of using blockchain to track aircraft data and exchange information faster.

According to Emirates, the use of NFTs could accelerate the company’s recovery after the Covid hit, as many well-known airlines are launching their own NFTs to increase customer loyalty.

“NFT and metaverse need to adopt different approaches. With their help, it is possible to transform all internal processes, be it work, training, sales on the website or communication with users, making interaction with them more interactive,” the airline’s COO believes.
