On May 14, 2026, the institutional infrastructure firm Deploi announced the launch of its direct issuance framework for digital private credit on the Polygon blockchain. This move facilitates regulated digital debt issuance, starting with UK consumer credit assets through its inaugural Series 2026/CON/001 notes.
Consequently, this forms part of a massive $1.07 billion note program planned for 2026. The company expects to complete its global issuance infrastructure by the end of the third quarter, potentially expanding capacity to $5.35 billion.
Meanwhile, approximately $107 million in additional issuance volume is already lined up over the next six months via Assetera. This reflects significant early institutional demand for these blockchain-native products.
“The legacy private credit model is operationally outdated,” said Oskars Jepsis, Founder of Deploi. He argued that investors now demand faster execution and greater transparency from modern infrastructure.
The notes are issued and settled through Assetera, an EU-regulated DLT trading platform licensed under MiFID II. “This partnership demonstrates precisely what regulated DLT infrastructure makes possible,” said Thomas Labenbacher, CEO of Assetera.
Polygon Labs CEO Marc Boiron noted this is a clear step toward making private credit markets more efficient and accessible. Deploi’s infrastructure aims to replace slow, manual processes with programmable issuance and settlement.
Target yields for the notes range from 6% to 18%, depending on the underlying asset structures. The platform has already seen buy-side engagement from digital asset and yield-focused institutional investors.
