- CoreWeave CEO Mike Intrator expects the economics of incremental AI infrastructure to keep improving through 2027 and into early 2028.
- He sees agentic AI driving “substantial demand for CPUs across the board,” alongside continued demand for GPUs.
- His comments came as CoreWeave announced product and customer updates at its Fully Connected conference in San Francisco.
CoreWeave (CRWV) CEO Mike Intrator said Wednesday in a CNBC interview that data-center restrictions will shift where AI infrastructure is built rather than reduce demand. “There has absolutely not been any reduction in orders,” Intrator stated, noting that the market seeks more infrastructure regardless of location.
Meanwhile, CoreWeave announced at its Fully Connected conference that NVIDIA’s (NVDA) Vera Rubin NVL72 systems are now available, with AI company Cognition as the first production customer. The company also launched CoreWeave Forge, a development platform for AI models and agents used by MasterClass and Canva.
On the earnings front, Intrator pushed back on concerns about rising interest rates, asserting that margins are expanding faster than rates. He expects the profitability of incremental AI infrastructure to continue improving through 2027 and into early 2028, citing sustained demand from enterprise and consumer customers.
Consequently, Intrator sees a broader CPU demand cycle emerging alongside the GPU buildout. The rise of agentic AI is driving “substantial demand for CPUs across the board,” both inside GPU servers and in standalone systems.
