Simultaneously, World unveiled integrations with major platforms including video conferencing tool Zoom and electronic signature leader Docusign.
The company said Zoom will use its “Deep Face” authentication to prevent deepfakes, while Docusign is adding its ID tech to digital agreements. Dating app Tinder is also expanding its World ID verification to users in the United States.
Consequently, the decline for WLD came as the wider cryptocurrency market rose 2.2% amid positive geopolitical news. However, the token’s price action appeared decoupled from the firm’s business developments.
The new partnerships aim to combat sophisticated deepfake scams that evade standard identification checks. “As AI agents increasingly act on behalf of real people, the infrastructure to prove a human stands behind each agent becomes critical,” World stated.
Meanwhile, critics continue to warn that large-scale biometric data collection creates major privacy hazards. They argue centralized control of such sensitive information could enable excessive surveillance if misused in the future.
The firm’s technology revolves around its Orb device, which scans a user’s iris to generate a unique, private digital identity. Other recent integrations include Amazon Web Services, Shopify, and Coinbase.
Specifically, Coinbase announced in March it would use World’s AgentKit toolkit for its x402 AI agents micropayments protocol. This allows AI agents to prove they are linked to a verified human identity, a growing necessity in the digital landscape.
