The Chillchat (CHILL) project has managed to attract interest from leading cryptocurrency players such as FTX Ventures, Crypto.com Capital and Solana Ventures, who have funded it through the purchase of several million euros worth of tokens.
Chillchat raised $6.5 million to create its own “Create2Earn”, a social 2D pixel art metaverse that promotes interpersonal connections and collaboration.
With these funds Chillchat will continue to develop its social metaverse platform, in which community members can easily create their own Worlds, Characters, Objects and Pets, which can be instantly turn to NFTs.
This social pixel art metaverse allows users to easily create games and NFT items, including Worlds, Characters, Objects and Pets, for themselves or other community members.
Chillchat will launch its online platform later this year for players to create new characters, worlds and experiences accessible at https://chillchat.me. Additional features will be added in the near future.
This will be followed by an initial DEX offering on Raydium and an initial CEX offering (details to be confirmed closer to release date).
Web3 investors and leaders who participated in the protocol round also include Griffin Gaming Partners, Animoca Brands, Spartan Capital, Diamond Hands Ventures, Morningstar Ventures and other notable investors.
The participating communities and guilds include Avocado Guild, GuildFi, Ancient8, SNACKCLUB, UniX Gaming, SwordFish Guild, and MonkeVentures.

Released later this year
Chillchat will release its platform later this year, which will allow community members who own any of the 1,500 unique Origins NFT – the first characters released for Chillchat users – to use the pixel editor and create new Chillchat characters for new players.
With more features constantly being developed for the platform, Chillchat will have its initial DEX offering (IDO) on Raydium and its initial Exchange offering (IEO) on a platform to be confirmed closer to the release date, towards the end of 2022.
Looking to the future, Chillchat will allow real-time NFT transactions with other players in the metaverse, allow players to go on adventures with their friends and pets, create custom Tilesets that can be used to create Worlds, and more. Chillchat users will be able to design their own Worlds to start their own NFT shops or museums, and even use the World Engine tools to turn their Worlds into games.

Successful first public sale
On January 21, 2022, Chillchat held a successful NFT public sale to cut 1,000 of the 1,500 limited edition “Origin” characters. The handmade and animated Origins, which will spawn all future Chillchat characters, sold out in seconds at 2 SOL (~$80 US) per NFT.
The current lowest price is at 22 SOL (~$880) and the highest secondary market ticket is at 120 SOL (~$4,800). The current total sales volume for Chillchat Origins is 42,856 SOL (~US$1,700,000).
Chillchat continues to auction 10 Origin NFT every Wednesday and aims to put the remaining 350 Chillchat Origins NFT in the hands of users – who are tasked with expanding the first generation series by creating new characters for the next generation and beyond. The Chillchat Origins auctions will be held at Magic Eden.
