The average cost of a cyber breach worldwide has reached $4.44 million, with breaches in the United States costing as much as $10.2 million per incident, according to data from IBM. Industry experts say these numbers may rise as cybercriminals use quantum computers and AI to create more advanced attacks, especially against companies with outdated security systems.

The session, titled “Building Trust and Resilience for the AI and Quantum 2.0 Era,” brings together specialists from organizations like Nokia Bell Labs, evolutionQ, NIST, Kyndryl, and Nokia. According to presenters, two-thirds of organizations now consider quantum computing a top threat for the next few years, while 93% of cybersecurity leaders are preparing for daily attacks powered by AI. The webinar will offer practical advice for companies in sectors such as technology, finance, and healthcare.

Experts will discuss the unique danger posed by quantum computers—machines that could eventually break today’s widely used encryption. They will also examine how artificial intelligence speeds up phishing and other attack methods. “AI-driven phishing fools 60% of people, and quantum threats like ‘harvest now, decrypt later’ are already in play,” according to field specialists.

Panelists include Dr. Michael Eggleston of Nokia Bell Labs, Dr. Michele Mosca from evolutionQ, former NIST advisor Donna Dodson, Bill Genovese from Kyndryl, and Martin Charbonneau of Nokia. The group will cover quantum computing basics, the importance of security in AI-quantum systems, and specific strategies for industries facing serious risk.

The webinar also outlines steps for companies to build cybersecurity resilience, including how to begin, implement, and maintain strong protections. Organizers highlight that with nearly half of organizations citing advanced AI attacks as a top fear, adopting new defensive measures is urgent. Event registration is available at the webinar’s official page.
