- Strategy executive chairman Michael Saylor says the company has the capacity to generate up to $30 billion in digital credit from its existing balance sheet to fund further Bitcoin purchases.
- CEO Phong Le confirmed that issuing preferred shares such as STRC will be the primary method for acquiring Bitcoin, with a potential monthly raise of $1 billion to $2 billion.
- The company reported $19.53 billion in Q3 net income, largely driven by a $20.91 billion gain on its digital assets, with Bitcoin holdings reaching 848,517 BTC as of Oct. 25.
Strategy is planning to finance additional Bitcoin acquisitions through preferred-share offerings, with executive chairman Michael Saylor stating the company can create up to $30 billion in digital credit using its current balance sheet. Saylor made the remarks during the company’s third-quarter earnings call, saying the capacity exists without requiring a common-stock raise or further Bitcoin Price appreciation.
“We could create $10 billion, $20 billion, $30 billion of digital credit,” Saylor said.
CEO Phong Le emphasized that issuing digital credit would serve as the primary mechanism for accumulating more Bitcoin. Le explained that if Strategy raised $1 billion to $2 billion in a month through its STRC preferred shares, it could allocate some proceeds to dollar reserves while spending the remainder on Bitcoin.
The company recently reported $19.53 billion in third-quarter net income, largely fueled by a $20.91 billion gain in the value of its digital assets. Its Bitcoin holdings reached 848,517 BTC as of Oct. 25, reflecting a 26% increase year to date.
The $30 billion figure represents a potential financing capacity rather than an announced fundraising target. This approach signals a shift toward preferred shares like STRC instead of relying heavily on convertible debt or common-share sales.
