On June 30, Jane Street held roughly $1.01 billion in Bitcoin ETFs and about $17 million in XRP ETFs, according to its latest 13F filing with the SEC. The quarterly report shows Bitcoin ETF holdings more than doubled from $438.4 million at the end of Q1, while XRP ETF exposure climbed from $3.3 million.
Consequently, BlackRock‘s IBIT remained the firm’s largest Bitcoin position at roughly $800.5 million, even after Jane Street cut that stake by 71% last quarter. The filing also listed positions in Fidelity‘s FBTC, ARK 21Shares‘ ARKB, Bitwise‘s BITB, and Grayscale‘s GBTC.
Meanwhile, XRP ETF holdings included a $14.1 million stake in the Bitwise XRP ETF and positions in 21Shares, Canary, REX-Osprey, Franklin, and Grayscale XRP funds. XRP’s price edged 0.2% lower in the last 24 hours, making it one of the top trending tickers on Stocktwits.
Retail sentiment around XRP stayed in the bearish zone, with one Stocktwits user calling it a “GLORIFIED STABLE COIN” and citing insider selling and a lack of utility. This comes as Bitcoin spot ETFs have seen choppy flows, with large outflows in late July and early August followed by a brief period of positive flows.
In the latest week, inflows resumed after another wave of selling, though the broader trend remains mixed. Bitcoin traded up more than 1% over 24 hours, attempting to hold above $64,000, while retail sentiment on Stocktwits remained bearish.
One user remained optimistic, noting that Bitcoin’s long-term price trend is above its 200-week moving average, a level that has historically provided major support during market cycles.
