Shares of Intel jumped as 2026 began, fueling fresh analyst revisions. The stock is up 28% year-to-date and 147% since Jan. 13, 2025, trading near $50 as Wall Street revisits forecasts following recent product and corporate developments.

KeyBanc moved the stock to “overweight” and set a $60 price target. Analyst John Vinh said demand from hyperscale customers for chips and servers to power AI is boosting sales of Intel CPUs and cited the firm’s supply chain checks showing the company is “almost sold out for the year” in data center server CPUs.

KeyBanc described the hyperscaler demand as “outsized” and a “significant tailwind” for Intel’s data center and AI revenue, and noted “significant progress” in the company’s manufacturing business. Vinh also said Intel “may raise prices on the chips” given tight supply.

Some analysts remain cautious. Rosenblatt carries a Sell rating and Loop Capital a Hold rating; both firms use $25 price targets, reflecting differing views on Intel’s near-term outlook.

The share rally followed a strong quarterly report, where revenue rose 15%, driven by demand for data center solutions and AI accelerators. Momentum also picked up after Intel unveiled new processors and after a social-media post last week from President Donald Trump praising CEO Lip-Bu Tan.

At CES, Intel launched the Panther Lake laptop processor as its first high-volume product on the 18A process. The company’s partnership with Nvidia and renewed analyst attention have prompted several firms to raise forecasts, and the company has been cited as a stronger competitor to firms such as AMD.
