- Binance will discontinue its mining pool and related services at 07:00 UTC on Nov. 10.
- Miners must switch pools and Pool Savings users must redeem positions before the cutoff.
- The closure follows Binance‘s NFT shutdown and its expansion into U.S. stocks and tokenized equities.
- Binance Pool launched in April 2020 and held roughly 2.3% of Bitcoin network hashrate.
Binance will shut down its mining pool and several related services on Nov. 10 at 07:00 UTC, the exchange said in an announcement published Tuesday. The closure covers Binance Pool, Pool Savings, Cloud Mining, Transaction Accelerator, and the pool’s API.
“As part of our ongoing review of products and services, Binance will discontinue Binance Pool and related services on 2026-11-10,” Binance wrote. Mining connections will be disconnected, Stratum URLs disabled, and hashrate submissions after the cutoff will no longer be accepted or credited.
A mining pool combines the computing power of many miners and splits block rewards based on contributed work. Cloud Mining let users buy hashrate without owning hardware, while Transaction Accelerator helped push through stuck Bitcoin transactions.
Binance Pool launched in April 2020 and ranked ninth among Bitcoin pools at the end of 2025, with about 26 exahashes per second, or 2.3% of the network, according to Hashrate Index. The report called it the last pool standing from the era when exchanges rushed into mining.
The shutdown arrives as Binance expands into traditional finance. In June, it opened access to more than 7,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs for non-U.S. customers, with zero commission and fractional purchases from $5, per co-CEO Richard Teng.
Binance also previewed bStocks, a feature that lets users mint tokenized shares on the BNB blockchain. Quantmap co-founder Ivan Patriki said large exchanges are moving into equities to avoid dependence on crypto market cycles.
Meanwhile, Binance closed its centralized NFT service on July 3, directing users to Binance Wallet. Former CEO Changpeng Zhao described the approach as “smooth sunsetting of old products” in 2023.
Consequently, miners must point their hardware to another pool before the cutoff, and Pool Savings users must redeem their positions. Binance said eligible rewards and refunds will be processed afterward, subject to compliance checks.
Users expecting a final payout have until 23:59 UTC on Nov. 10 to complete identity verification. Binance Pool pages will remain viewable until Nov. 24, after which they become permanently inaccessible.
