According to financial disclosures and recent 13F filings, US President Donald Trump holds a significant position in Alphabet’s Google stock (NASDAQ: GOOG) as of September 2026. The accumulation spree began in 2025, with his fund managers making multiple purchases as the company surged ahead with its AI ventures and products.
The buying spree began when GOOG’s price was trading between $236 and $404 per share between 2025 and 2026. A White House spokesperson confirmed that the trades were initiated by independently managed fund managers, stressing that the President and his family members did not initiate the trades. Consequently, reports indicate that Trump made several Google stock purchases in early 2026, including amounts ranging from $1.7 million to $3.6 million, while also offloading Alphabet shares worth $365,000.
However, the report has not officially disclosed whether Trump’s holdings remain in profit. The President boasted about the US stock market’s performance, stating, “You know why I’m profiting? Because the stock market’s going up, everybody’s profiting.” Critics have said that Trump is profiting from the AI sector, as he’s the one making laws on the AI industry.
His purchases coincide with Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway going bullish on the company, having bought a $10 billion stake in a direct private placement. Alphabet has raised $80 billion to fund its AI plans, and by scaling its investments, the company could soon reward traders with returns.
