Peter Thiel has repeatedly criticized businessmen and big investors who speak out against Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. This time, however, he has gone too far this time with unwise language.
While attending a cryptocurrency conference, he took aim at Warren Buffett, founder of Berkshire Hathaway who is known in the investment world as the “prophet of Omaha,” saying: “Bitcoin’s arch enemy is the sociopathic Oldman from Omaha.

Thiel, who since 2018 has raised millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin through his company Founders Fund, also criticized JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon and BlackRock CEO Larry Flynn.
He presented large graphics with photos of the two executives and their negative comments about Bitcoin. These graphics contained the word “gerontocracy“.
At one point he showed a picture of Buffett with the words “rat poison”, which the Berskshire chief had used in the past about Bitcoin. Another image showed Buffett’s statement “I do not and will not own (cryptocurrencies).”
Berkshire, however, as Thiel recalled, invested $1 billion this year in Brazil’s Nubank, an online bank that is extremely popular with cryptocurrency investors.
