SpaceX 2027 target $217, $10K could grow 40%

Wall Street analysts set median SpaceX target $217 by 2027, turning $10k to $14k

  • Wall Street analysts set a median SpaceX stock price target of $217 by 2027, turning a $10,000 investment into roughly $14,017.
  • The stock trades at $154.81 as of Sept. 17, with a wide gap between the highest target of $800 and the lowest of $75.
  • CFO Bret Johnsen expressed growing confidence in the company’s $100 billion annual recurring revenue target at a recent Goldman Sachs conference.

SpaceX stock, trading as SPCX on the Nasdaq, stood at $154.81 as of Sept. 17 after a 2.6% daily gain, with 41 Wall Street analysts projecting a median price target of $217 by September 2027. A $10,000 investment in SpaceX shares at the current price would buy roughly 64.6 shares, and if the median target is reached, that stake would grow to approximately $14,017 — a gain of about 40%.

The stock has swung wildly since its IPO pricing of $135, climbing to a peak of $225.64 before falling as low as $104.83 in August. SpaceX CFO Bret Johnsen told the Goldman Sachs Communacopia and Technology Conference on Sept. 10, “We have even more conviction now about that $100 billion ARR target.”

Meanwhile, the lower end of analyst forecasts puts the stock at $75, which would shrink a $10,000 investment to about $4,845 — a loss near 52%. SpaceX lost $4.3 billion in the first quarter of 2026 and $541 million in the second, with AI division capital expenditures alone reaching $12.7 billion in 2025.

Consequently, the company’s infrastructure bets carry significant risk. Anthropic and Alphabet are both renting compute capacity from SpaceX‘s ground-based data centers, generating roughly $26 billion annually, while a separate deal with ReflectionAI adds about $150 million per month. SpaceX has also filed with the FCC for permission to launch up to 1 million satellites as orbital data centers, with initial launches expected in 2028.

The stock trades at a steep premium with limited room for error. For investors able to handle volatility, the SpaceX outlook leans toward growth as each new compute deal strengthens the case for a higher price target by 2027.
