- Van de Poppe sees Bitcoin heading to $81,000, either directly or after a sweep to $74,000.
- Altcoins remain flat, with SOL/BTC barely starting an uptrend after Solana broke its 21-day moving average.
On Sunday, crypto analysts shared contrasting calls for Ethereum, Bitcoin, and altcoins on X. Ted Pillows posted a side-by-side chart comparing Ethereum’s monthly setup to Netflix’s 2003–2011 run, placing ETH at the equivalent breakout point.
Pillows called for $10,000 Ethereum by 2029, arguing ETH is having its “Netflix moment.” Ethereum was trading above $2,400 over the past 24 hours, with retail sentiment remaining “extremely bullish” on Stocktwits.
Meanwhile, Michaël van de Poppe said on X that Ethereum “did make the sweep and immediately climbs back up,” matching Bitcoin’s strength. He expects another run at the highs in the coming days, and if Ethereum sweeps the lows again, he would consider entries around $2,200.
For Bitcoin, Van de Poppe outlined two potential paths. In the first, BTC clears lower-time-frame resistance and reaches $81,000 in the coming days; in the second, it rejects, sweeps down to $74,000, then reaches $81,000 later in the week.
Bitcoin was up 0.3% at $77,285 over the past 24 hours, with retail sentiment staying “extremely bullish.” Van de Poppe also commented on altcoins, saying they “haven’t seen any moves at all,” with the SOL/BTC pair barely starting an uptrend.
He noted Solana flipped a level and broke its 21-day moving average, describing the setup as a period for buying the dip. Solana’s price was up over 2% during the past 24 hours.
