Hedera Launches AI Studio to Build Trusted, Tokenized AI Agents

Hedera Launches AI Studio: Open-Source Toolkit for Trusted, Transparent AI on Blockchain

  • Hedera has launched AI Studio, an open-source toolkit that helps build trusted AI-enabled applications using blockchain technology.
  • AI Studio is designed to provide transparency, record-keeping, and trust for enterprise AI by using verifiable, blockchain-based data.
  • The toolkit was created in partnership with Hashgraph Online, Eliza Labs, Hashgraph, and The Hedera Foundation.
  • Key features of AI Studio include plugins for natural language interaction, developer tools, a new protocol for secure agent communication, and components for integrating with external data.
  • Hedera’s approach addresses the need for transparent and auditable AI decisions, particularly in sectors requiring comprehensive records and compliance.

Hedera has introduced AI Studio, an open-source toolkit to support the creation of reliable AI-powered applications on its blockchain network. The rollout aims to help organizations address trust issues in Artificial Intelligence by recording every interaction and decision immutably on a distributed Ledger.

The company developed AI Studio in cooperation with Hashgraph Online, Eliza Labs, Hashgraph, and The Hedera Foundation. The solution provides tools for automating tasks, token creation, and secure communications between AI agents, using an easy-to-use, low-code interface. Companies and developers can use these features to build AI agents that meet compliance and transparency standards.

According to Ty Smith, Senior Product Manager at Hashgraph, “Data without trust is just noise. Reliable AI begins with verifiable data. By grounding AI in events that are immutably time-stamped and fair-ordered on Hedera’s Consensus and Token Services, builders and their users can have confidence that what the algorithm sees is authentic. AI Studio puts that trust at developers’ fingertips, weaving transparency and accountability into every workflow. This is how Hedera becomes the trust layer of tomorrow’s AI-driven digital economy.” Shaw Walters, Founder of Eliza Labs, added, “Hedera’s infrastructure, built for real-world utility, made it easy for us to deploy and champion the Eliza AI Agentic Framework. We’re particularly excited about how this integration can help developers unlock new forms of agentic coordination across the broader on-chain world.”

AI Studio includes several important components. The ElizaOS Plugin enables natural language interaction and context-aware responses. The Hedera Agent Kit allows developers to interact with the network through JavaScript or plain language, making it compatible with software such as LangChain. The OpenConvAI protocol enables tamper-proof, decentralized communication between agents. The MCP Server lets AI agents connect with outside tools and data sources.

By recording each decision and data point on Hedera’s ledger, AI Studio helps transform artificial intelligence from a “black box” into a transparent system. This is especially valuable for industries requiring clear audit trails and regulatory compliance. Hedera’s fixed, low transaction costs and carbon-negative footprint also allow developers to scale deployments while managing financial and environmental factors.

AI Studio is positioned as a bridge between advanced AI capabilities and the need for verifiable trust in enterprise technology. With its mix of low-code options, compliance support, and monitoring features, the toolkit aims to make trustworthy AI applications available for developers and businesses of all sizes.
