Foundry USA is now asking its mining customers to vote on how the pool should signal for Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP-110). This actively debated proposal seeks to limit non-monetary transactions on the Bitcoin network, such as Ordinals, by shrinking the amount of data that can be stored in a Bitcoin transaction.
As the world’s largest mining pool by hashrate, Foundry also released educational resources about the proposal. Consequently, the company stated that the voting window will close at Bitcoin block 961,632, or sometime in early August.
Meanwhile, mining clients can cast their votes by accessing a personalized link received via email. This initiative allows the pool to gauge customer sentiment before taking a formal position on the soft fork.
