European Investment Platform Bitpanda Triples Value in Five Months to $4.1 billion

Bitpanda – a European cryptocurrency investing platform – accumulated 263 million euros in its latest funding round. It is now valued at over $4.1 billion dollars.

According to CNBC, this is more than 3 times the value of 1.2 billion. The company had in its last round of private capital raising five months ago, with Bitpanda’s cash reserves approaching $500 million dollars.

The investment of 264 million Euros was made primarily by Valar Ventures, the fund of American billionaire Peter Tiel.

Among the investors who participated in the latest investment of the Vienna-based platform, is Swiss-based investor Alan Howard and the Redo ventures fund.
