CleanSpark, the Georgia-based Bitcoin miner, announced Friday it will discontinue monthly operational updates and transition to quarterly reporting, reflecting its expanding focus on data center development. The company unveiled the shift alongside its September mining results, confirming production of 529 BTC.
The miner averaged 17.64 BTC per day with peak output of 18.99 BTC, ending September with 13,530 BTC in treasury, down from 13,703 BTC a month earlier. CleanSpark sold two BTC at spot and another 700 BTC through call exercises, achieving an average sale price of $72,928 per coin.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin traded near $83,000 following a drop below $81,000 that liquidated roughly $1 billion in crypto positions. CEO Matt Schultz confirmed the Sandersville data center project is fully funded after the company closed $2.276 billion in senior secured notes carrying a 7.875% interest rate.
“With non-dilutive bond financing now in place, our Sandersville project is fully funded through completion,” Schultz said. The Georgia project is expected to generate approximately $6.6 billion in contracted revenue over its initial lease term under an agreement with a Meta subsidiary.
“In the meantime, we are continuing the commercial process across our entire portfolio and delivering continuous monetization of our contracted power through bitcoin mining,” Schultz added. CleanSpark had 199,745 miners deployed at month-end, utilizing 808 MW of its contracted 1.8 GW power capacity.
