Broadridge Financial Solutions launched a new digital asset platform for Canadian wealth managers this week, enabling them to offer cryptocurrencies and tokenized assets seamlessly alongside traditional investments. According to Monday’s announcement, the system addresses integration challenges by consolidating trading, custody, and servicing into existing workflows.
The platform provides access to a range of digital assets, including tokenized equities and funds, with integrated wallets and institutional custody options. Consequently, wealth managers can operate under both advisor-led and self-directed models while maintaining regulatory compliance through built-in governance tools.
Its infrastructure includes a partnership with Galaxy Digital for wallet services and a multi-custody model involving Anchorage Digital. The financial technology provider, which reportedly supports the monthly tokenization of more than $8 trillion in assets, stated the platform is designed for interoperability with other custodians and exchanges.
This development occurs as financial institutions accelerate their build-out of crypto integration tools for institutional clients. Earlier this month, SoFi Technologies launched a business banking platform that manages fiat and crypto transactions, including its SoFiUSD stablecoin, within a single regulated system.
Meanwhile, Binance launched a concierge-style service for institutions in November, offering onboarding and portfolio analytics. Other traditional players like Fidelity Investments and Morgan Stanley have also expanded into crypto custody and trading through dedicated units.
A January report from McKinsey & Company forecasts that investment portfolios will increasingly include digital and tokenized assets. This trend underscores a broader industry shift towards platforms supporting a wider array of asset classes for wealth management.
