Akash Unveils New Billing & Usage Tools for Greater Credit Card Spending Transparency

Akash has launched a Billing & Usage feature designed to give users better transparency over their spending. As more customers pay for compute services on Akash using credit cards, the company aims to provide billing clarity similar to traditional cloud providers such as AWS.

According to AEP-68, crypto wallet users can track transactions through blockchain explorers, but credit card users previously lacked tools to review billing details. The new Billing & Usage page, now available under Account Settings, addresses this gap by providing detailed transaction and usage insights.

The feature includes a Credit Purchase History tab, where users can view all credit transactions. The table lists dates, amounts, payment methods, and transaction statuses. Users can download receipts for individual purchases and export all records as a CSV file for their documentation. There is also a date filter for reviewing transactions within a specific period.

A second tab, Usage Charts, summarizes total spending and deployment counts. Users can analyze their compute spend with charts broken down by week, month, year, or a custom date range. This enables account holders to monitor spending patterns over time and manage budgets more effectively.

The update reflects feedback from users who expect billing transparency when using credit cards. It also provides the ability to understand how credits are used and to keep accurate records, similar to what mainstream cloud service providers already offer.

For users needing additional assistance or technical support regarding the new Billing & Usage feature, Akash continues to offer community help on its Discord server, which is staffed around the clock.
