Corporate partnerships include Liner, an AI-powered search solution provider, Jamcoding, and The AI Lab in the e-learning sector.

Research Applications

Under Professor Young-June Choi’s leadership, Ajou University’s AI research focuses on:

  • Network security anomaly detection
  • AI-driven educational systems
  • 6G edge computing development

Professor Choi states: “We selected EdgeCloud platform as our AI infrastructure of choice because so many of our colleagues and peers in the academic circle are already using Theta… We’re looking to scale 10x as we head into 2025.”

Technical Infrastructure

The EdgeCloud AI platform provides over 80 PetaFLOPS of computing power (1 PetaFLOP equals one quadrillion floating-point operations per second). This computing capacity supports research initiatives including pattern-based network intrusion detection systems, as detailed in Professor Choi’s research paper available at MDPI Electronics.

Professor Choi, an IEEE Senior Member with 150+ international publications and 50 patents, received the Haedong Young Scientist Award and Best Paper Award from the Journal of Communication and Networks in 2015.
