- The Official Trump (TRUMP) meme coin on Solana has reached its lowest price since its launch in January 2025.
- Prediction markets and polling data show a sharp decline in President Trump’s approval ratings amid the conflict in Iran.
- Another Trump-connected token, World Liberty Financial’s WLFI, also recently set a new trading low.
President Trump’s official Solana meme coin, TRUMP, plunged to its lowest price since its post-launch window early Tuesday, trading around $2.90. The decline coincides with slipping approval ratings for the president as geopolitical tensions with Iran create market uncertainty. However, this downturn starkly contrasts with broader crypto market performance, where leaders like Bitcoin and Ethereum have rebounded.
TRUMP’s current price is more than 96% off its January 2025 all-time high of $73.43, data shows. Meanwhile, predictor sentiment on the president’s approval has flipped negative, now favoring disapproval at 58% according to Myriad. This shift more closely mirrors traditional polling averages, which currently show around 54.8% disapproval.
Consequently, even as Bitcoin rose amid the president’s statements on Iran, his official meme coin remained in the red. Meanwhile, the Trump-related World Liberty Financial token WLFI recently touched $0.094, setting a new low since becoming freely tradable. That token is now 69% off its all-time high despite a recent 1.4% gain.
The business behind WLFI recently held a conference at Mar-a-Lago and has faced scrutiny over a major investment. President Trump’s volatile remarks on Iran, including a threat of “death, fire, and fury,” have defined the current political and market climate.
