The Ethereum development framework’s new website showcases its three key products.
Truffle, the self-proclaimed most popular Ethereum development framework, has a new look. According to a recent announcement, the revamped website compiles all the information Ethereum developers using the framework would need to get started building Dapps and EDCCs (aka smart contracts). Users have access to app documentation, tutorials, templates (called boxes), and repositories on Truffle’s website.
The Truffle team expressed its enthusiasm for the new website (especially for the new documentation layout) via Twitter:
The framework’s recipe is comprised of three dessert-inspired ingredients (or toolboxes) called Drizzle, Ganache, and Truffle:
- Drizzle offers a collection of libraries to apparently make front-end development easier. Because the core of this feature is based on Redux, a state container for JavaScript apps, users have access to all the development tools offered through this container.
- Ganache is a personal blockchain that developers can use for experiments, like running tests and executing commands. Individuals can access this feature as a desktop app or a command-line tool. Further, it is available on Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
- Finally, Truffle is the framework’s main development environment using the Ethereum Virtual Machine, with the aim “to make life as a developer easier.”
Companies such as Aragon, BitGo, Melonport, ShapeShift, and Digix have used Truffle. The toolboxes are open source and available to the public.
In addition to its new website, the Truffle team released a patch, v4.1.14, earlier today containing “a handful of fixes, including some debugger stability improvements.”
