The proposal, titled "Cantonal Bitcoin Strategy III," directs authorities to examine how Bitcoin mining operations could benefit the region’s energy infrastructure.

Samuel Kullmann, an EDU representative and key supporter of the motion, addressed the victory in light of initial skepticism, stating: "Even though the debate was heavily influenced by classic FUD arguments and missed the point, the proposal ultimately found a clear majority."

The approved motion requires the government to prepare a comprehensive report focusing on three primary areas:
