Paraguayan prosecutor Irene Rolón said police apprehended the men shortly after the intrusion. The three deported suspects lacked official entry records and are believed by authorities and Interpol to have entered Paraguay illegally through Brazil or Bolivia.

The individuals deported are Jinping Duan, Tian Jianyun, and Zheng Guanglong. According to Rolón, “the men may have had ties to Teratech as independent contractors, but we are waiting for official confirmation from the company’s CEO.” The fourth suspect, Nahun María Velázquez Garcete, is a legal resident of Paraguay and faces charges of aggravated theft. He is currently in pretrial detention and was hospitalized in critical condition following his arrest. The nature of his injuries was not disclosed.

Officials suspect that other people were involved in the attempted theft and continue to investigate to identify all parties responsible. Police have not shared further details about how the suspects entered the facility or the specific equipment targeted.

Prosecutor Rolón said the three deported men may have worked as programmers in Paraguay for several months. Authorities are waiting for a report from Teratech’s CEO to clarify the men’s roles and relationship with the company.
