ChatGPT is entering a new phase, offering a third alternative form of interaction with the public.

The first is the more simple and free application, where it allows the user to request information and chat as if they were talking to a human being.

The second is provided with a monthly subscription of $20 plus VAT. It is the more sophisticated version, GPT-4, where it offers what the first one does, only with a faster response speed and linked to other applications, such as image creation.

The third version, which OpenAI launched just yesterday, aims to expand the capabilities even further and is geared towards enterprises.

ChatGPT Enterprise, as they call it, offers greater security, protection of corporate data, unlimited access and higher speeds to GPT-4, advanced data analysis capabilities, expanded contextual windows for editing longer texts, appearance customization options, group account management features, and more.

As the company reported, they already have their first customers, including PwC and Estee Lauder.

With the release of ChatGPT Enterprise, OpenAI aspires to expand its users and address a big problem. Many employers were prohibiting their employees from using ChatGPT in the workplace, citing privacy issues.

With this specialized and sophisticated service, it aims to meet the needs of businesses, making them more creative and productive.

In fact, it plans to integrate as many businesses as possible in the coming weeks, as reported in X (formerly Twitter), promising continuous evolution based on customer feedback.

Among its advantages is a 32,000 tokens capacity frame window. This means that it can process more text. Tokens are pieces of a word. 32,000 tokens are equivalent to about 24,000 words.

Currently, GPT-4 reaches 8,000 tokens for ChatGPT Plus users. Also, there are no usage restrictions anymore. Business version customers will have access to unlimited questions with GPT-4 at a higher speed.

As all ChatGPT data processing takes place on OpenAI’s servers, ChatGPT Enterprise is designed to meet the high security needs of business customers, which is why it uses encryption both on data input and output.

In addition, OpenAI assures that enterprise data will not be used to train its models. In the free and Plus versions of ChatGPT, OpenAI uses the conversation data to “feed” the model unless the conversation history is turned off.

According to Andrej Karpathy, OpenAI executive, former head of Tesla’s AI division, ChatGPT Enterprise will be extremely useful for enterprises if their executives properly exploit its potential.

Through rapid exploration of answers to complex business questions, it can become a necessary software tool, essential to meet business needs. As X explains, “the increase in productivity will be so great that organisations will have to think of it as an essential working tool.”

With ChatGPT Enterprise, OpenAI is addressing another concern for businesses. Large language models like GPT-4 often create confusion because they make things up or infer things incorrectly.

This limits their usefulness as a reliable source of information and decisions. However, in this application the model’s capabilities are focused on analysis, explanation, summary and translation. It encourages users to add their own data for GPT-4 to process, rather than relying on data from the model itself.

The release of ChatGPT Enterprise is another weapon in the fast-growing field of AI. Competition has been well and truly heated between OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, and other companies such as Anthropic, which was founded by former OpenAI executives and released a new AI chat system, Claude 2, in July.

Microsoft already offers similar features in Bing Chat Enterprise, which is based on GPT-4 and other technologies licensed from OpenAI.

Bing Chat Enterprise is included in the Microsoft 365 price for Business Standard ($12.50 per month per user) and Premium Plans ($22 per month per user). Microsoft’s immediate plans are to offer it standalone for $5 per month.

OpenAI has not yet publicly announced how much ChatGPT Enterprise will cost. As they state, it will depend on each company’s usage. Interested parties should contact OpenAI for more information.
