Meta Shares Jump 6% as Wall Street Backs New AI Agent Muse

Meta shares surge over six percent as Wall Street analysts endorse its AI agent Muse.

  • Meta Platforms shares rose over 6% on Wednesday after Wall Street analysts endorsed the company’s new AI agent, Muse.
  • Muse is a standalone chatbot designed to track tasks, manage long-term goals, and answer everyday questions, with integration on WhatsApp.
  • CEO Mark Zuckerberg highlighted privacy features, including a Secure Credential Store that prevents Muse from reading passwords or credit cards.
  • Analysts from Mizuho and KeyBanc raised price targets for META stock, citing an underestimated AI product cycle.
  • Meta shares have rallied 9.8% in the last 30 days, recovering most of their year-to-date declines.

On Wednesday, shares of Meta Platforms surged over 6% after Wall Street analysts publicly backed the company’s new AI agent, Muse. The firm debuted the assistant on Tuesday to help users track tasks, manage long-term goals, and answer everyday questions while also assisting in accomplishing tasks.

Consequently, Wall Street firms raised price forecasts for META stock in recent days. Analysts at Mizuho Securities gave the stock an Outperform rating with a $750 price target, stating, “We believe Meta’s Muse consumer AI agent marks the beginning of a substantial product cycle for Meta that is not priced into shares.”

Meanwhile, KeyBanc Capital Markets analysts set an Overweight rating with a $780 target, writing that they “continue to believe the market underestimates Meta’s AI positioning and product cycle.” Meta designed Muse to work like messaging another person, available in the Muse app or directly within WhatsApp. CEO Mark Zuckerberg emphasized privacy in a video message, noting, “We built a Secure Credential Store for your passwords and credit cards so Muse can’t read this information. Muse also checks directly with you before taking sensitive actions like making payments or sending messages.”

Year to date, Meta shares are down roughly 1%, but the stock has rallied 9.8% in the last 30 days as the company ramps up its AI efforts. Zuckerberg has provided a roadmap for the AI plan, cautioning that “The notion that AI is so dangerous that the only safe path is an extreme concentration of power seems inherently problematic.”
