McLaren Racing & Hedera Launch Web3 Fan Collectibles Program

McLaren Racing partners with Hedera to deliver Hedera-powered Web3 fan experiences and free-to-claim digital collectibles at F1 and IndyCar events.

McLaren Racing announced a multi-year partnership with the Hedera Foundation to use the Hedera public network for secure, fast, and compliant decentralized applications aimed at enhancing fan engagement. The deal names Hedera an Official Partner of the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 team and the Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team, and it will link on-track activities with Web3 activations.

The partnership’s first deliverable is a digital collectibles programme built on Hedera. McLaren said fans should expect a series of free-to-claim collectibles released during F1 Grand Prix weekends, with the Arrow McLaren IndyCar collectibles returning for the 2026 season.

McLaren and Hedera said the motorsport-themed collectibles will include unique experiences, prizes, and incentives to deepen fan connection to the team. The organisations plan to iterate on these programmes to bridge physical and digital fan interactions while leveraging the network’s claimed trust and security properties.
