Inveniam Acquires Hedgehog to Expand from Data Services into Tokenized Asset Trading

  • Inveniam has acquired Hedgehog, a white label investment solution for tokenized real world assets, expanding beyond data into asset structuring and trading.
  • The acquisition follows Inveniam’s recent funding from UAE-based G42, bringing their total funding to $120 million.
  • The combined solution aims to transform private market assets trading by integrating Inveniam’s data capabilities with Hedgehog’s tokenization infrastructure.

Inveniam, a private market data firm, has acquired UK-founded Hedgehog, which provides white label investment solutions for tokenized real world assets (RWA). The acquisition was announced yesterday, though the agreement was finalized late last year shortly after Inveniam secured significant backing from UAE-based AI company G42. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This strategic acquisition marks Inveniam’s expansion beyond its core data services into providing comprehensive solutions for structuring, trading, and distributing private assets. The company’s total funding now stands at $120 million following G42’s investment.

Powering Private Market Data

Founded in 2017, Inveniam specializes in generating real-time data for private assets including real estate, private equity, private credit, and infrastructure. The firm has leveraged blockchain technology for data storage for several years, with nearly $65 billion in assets currently on its platform.

Inveniam’s data capabilities are particularly critical in a tokenized environment where private assets trade more frequently. The company offers “Valuation as a Service,” which is expected to increasingly incorporate and be utilized by Artificial Intelligence. Major backers include Cushman & Wakefield, one of several real estate firms contributing data to Inveniam’s solution, alongside accountants and subject matter experts. Fund administrator Apex led an earlier funding round and integrated Inveniam’s data with its administration platform.

Integration of Complementary Technologies

Inveniam has now fully integrated Hedgehog with its systems. Both companies share similar visions regarding private asset tokenization and distribution to investors. Hedgehog developed its white label solution specifically to enable asset managers to tokenize and distribute assets to private wealth clients and other investors.

“This acquisition is not about incremental efficiency—it’s about foundational transformation,” said Patrick O’Meara, Chairman and CEO of Inveniam. “With the Hedgehog team—comprised of multidisciplinary professionals with deep expertise in private markets, technology development, and blockchain solutions—we are able to scale our business more quickly. In addition, by integrating their existing infrastructure tools for tokenizing and distributing real-world assets, we are building the rails for digital, crypto, and cloud-based trading of alternative asset classes globally.”

The combined solution aims to transform how private market assets are valued, structured, and traded in an increasingly digital financial ecosystem.
