Franck Muller’s new watch works like a wallet for Bitcoin!

Despite bitcoin’s great volatility, Swiss watchmaker Franck Muller appears to be betting on Bitcoin – the cryptocurrency that has gained so much publicity in recent years, creating a titanium watch that also acts as a “wallet” for the decentralized digital currency.

Obviously, this limited edition watch is not very impressive, since the company always violated the rules of conventional watchmaking and created modern and exclusive watches that had never been presented before in the Watchmaking Industry.

Free the Money. Free the World

Under the name “Free the Money. Free the World” the new high-tech watch allows its owner to check his available balance in Bitcoin while on the go and, of course, see the time.

The luxury watch comes with a two-piece set of “Deep Cold Storage“, with its own unique public address engraved on the dial and a sealed USB containing the private key, allowing the owner to store bitcoin in his “wallet or check the rest of it directly from the dial.

In terms of construction, the watch has a sporty and elegant aesthetic thanks to the durable 41mm titanium case with black DLC coating. Beneath the sapphire crystal there is a black dial with green and white touches, in which a large Bitcoin logo stands out in its center, the Arabic numbers in positions 2,4,8 and 10 and the window of the date in position 6.

Inside the clock case is hosted the Swiss automatic mechanism Calibre FM 0800, which offers 42 hours of power reserve.

This is not the first time Franck Muller has unveiled a cryptocurrency-linked watch, as in 2019 she teamed up with Regal Assets to unveil the first Bitcoin operating clock known as Vanguard Encrypto.

The latest release, however, came at the right time, as earlier this year the price of a Bitcoin topped $50,000 for the first time in its relatively short history.

The new watch “Free The Money. Free The World.” is a limited edition of 500 pieces and its price is 9,900 euros. In order to obtain it, you will of course have to pay with bitcoin.
