Four Suspects Charged in Armed Home Invasion of Streamer Amouranth Targeting Crypto Assets

Four Suspects Charged After Armed Home Invasion Targeting Cryptocurrency Streamer Amouranth's $20 Million Bitcoin Holdings

  • Four individuals, including two adults and two minors, have been charged with aggravated kidnapping and armed robbery after invading cryptocurrency streamer Amouranth’s home.
  • The suspects targeted the streamer, who previously disclosed owning approximately 211 Bitcoin (over $20 million), demanding her cryptocurrency private keys while holding her at gunpoint.
  • The home invasion was thwarted when the streamer’s husband, who had been monitoring the situation, fired shots at the intruders, causing them to flee.

Armed intruders who targeted popular online streamer Kaitlyn Siragusa, known professionally as Amouranth, have been charged following a March 2nd home invasion where they demanded her cryptocurrency private keys at gunpoint. Four suspects, including two adults and two minors, now face serious criminal charges in connection with the targeted cryptocurrency robbery attempt.

According to Fox 26, the adult suspects Dylan Nesho Campbell and Bryan Anthony Salazar Guerrero, along with a 17-year-old accomplice, have each been charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. A fourth suspect, aged 16, also faces charges in the incident.

Prosecutors allege the armed group entered Siragusa’s home late at night, physically assaulted her, and held her at gunpoint while demanding access to her cryptocurrency holdings. The streamer had previously disclosed to her online audience that she held approximately 211 Bitcoin, valued at over $20 million as of November 2024, making her a high-value target for criminals.

The situation took a turn when Siragusa’s husband, who was on speakerphone during the invasion, became aware of the danger. As the attackers moved through the home searching for a cold storage device, Siragusa managed to escape to an upstairs area where her husband was monitoring the home’s security camera network.

Once she reached safety, her husband fired three rounds at the intruders, potentially hitting one of them and causing all assailants to flee before law enforcement arrived. Siragusa’s husband later revealed that he had been the one posting updates from her social media accounts as the dangerous situation unfolded.

This incident represents part of a growing trend of cryptocurrency-related kidnappings and armed robberies. In January 2025, UK authorities sentenced seven gang members for the kidnapping and extortion of a cryptocurrency investor who was repeatedly assaulted and forced to surrender funds over several months.

That same month saw reports that Ledger co-founder David Balland was kidnapped in France and held for a cryptocurrency ransom before being rescued by law enforcement, further highlighting the physical security risks facing known cryptocurrency holders.

The increasing frequency of these attacks serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers that come with publicly disclosing substantial cryptocurrency holdings, particularly when combined with personal information that could make individuals easy targets for criminal groups.
