A viral social media post purporting to show former President Donald Trump declaring “Cardano is the future of America” on his TRUTH Social platform has been confirmed as fabricated. The manipulated image, which garnered over 60,000 views, was created and shared by a Cardano trading account amid legitimate announcements about Trump’s crypto initiatives.
The deceptive image was initially shared on X by the account @TapTools on March 3, 2025. The post featured what appeared to be a screenshot of Trump’s TRUTH Social account with the cryptocurrency endorsement, accompanied by the caption “NO FREAKING WAY.”
Shortly after the post gained traction, @TapTools admitted in a follow-up message that the image was fabricated, stating: “Note to all the crybabies: It’s a meme. Relax.”
Fact-checkers found no evidence of the purported statement on any of Trump’s verified social media accounts. The fabricated endorsement did not appear on his TRUTH
