Releases cover systems such as the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox consoles, and PC.
Mecha Break launches July 1, 2025 for PC (Steam), Xbox Series X/S, and Android as a multiplayer shooter with customizable mechs and both PvP and PvPvE modes. On July 11, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 arrives as a combined remake, supporting platforms including PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch (and Switch 2), and PC. These remakes include both new and classic maps, skaters, game modes, and music.
Donkey Kong Bananza will be released as a major franchise entry on July 17, 2025, exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2. This installment introduces open-world gameplay, with players controlling Donkey Kong in the Underground World in search of Golden Bananas. The title offers increased exploration compared to previous entries.
On July 24, 2025, Super Mario Party Jamboree expands its reach through an enhanced Switch 2 edition. The update introduces Game Share for local multiplayer between Switch and Switch 2 owners, as well as new mini-games that use device features like onboard microphones and built-in controller mouse functionality. Players with the original game can access these updates via a paid upgrade or purchase the new edition for Switch 2.
Additional titles releasing during the month include Grounded 2, a survival game sequel entering early access for PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X/S on July 29. The game features mountable insect “buggies” and promises expanded storytelling elements from developer Obsidian. Tales of the Shire launches the same day, focusing on “cosy” Hobbit life and home-building in the Lord of the Rings universe.
The month closes with Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound on July 31, 2025, which returns the series to side-scrolling action.
