- The Internet Computer Dashboard has received a major update focused on improved navigation and community-centered features.
- New interface changes include enhanced subnet visualization, decentralization scores, and a dedicated ecosystem tokens section.
- Future improvements will include expanded token coverage, price data integration, improved search functionality, and aggregated views for network components.
DFINITY has announced significant updates to the Internet Computer Dashboard, transforming it from a basic metrics utility into a more structured and insight-driven platform. The redesigned portal aims to help developers, users, and ecosystem explorers better understand the Internet Computer network through more accessible and interconnected data visualization.
The updated dashboard features a reorganized structure with clearer navigation pathways that highlight connections between different types of network data. According to the announcement, the homepage now serves as a comprehensive entry point, featuring not just technical statistics but also showcasing the broader ecosystem including projects, tokens, and network events.
Enhanced Network Visualization
One of the most significant improvements appears on the network page, which now provides a visual story of the Internet Computer infrastructure. Users can navigate through subnets, explore their geographic distribution, and examine their composition in terms of node machines, providers, and data centers.
The subnets page has been redesigned to offer a clearer view of subnet activity with visual indicators for canister count, transaction rates, and subnet load. Each subnet now displays decentralization scores reflecting how control is distributed across node providers and data centers, making it easier to compare subnet security and balance.
Ecosystem Focus and Token Integration
The dashboard’s evolution puts the community at the center, with new features that surface projects, DAOs, and community-built tokens. A new tokens section has been introduced, currently showcasing chain-key tokens (like ckBTC) and SNS tokens, with plans to expand coverage to more ecosystem tokens with pricing, volume, and transaction data.
Future plans for the dashboard include support for most DeFi/token-standards/” target=”_blank”>ICRC standards and ecosystem tokens, aggregated price data from multiple sources, improved search functionality, and aggregated views that bring together all relevant data for nodes, projects, or principals.
"These updates are just the beginning of a more transparent, data-rich future for ICP," states the announcement, which invites community members to provide feedback on the dashboard’s ongoing development through the DFINITY forum.
