- Bitget CEO Gracy Chen does not believe Bitcoin‘s recent rally to $79,000 ends the bear market and is watching for a drop to $50,000 to buy back in.
- Chen keeps most of her portfolio in Bitcoin and the S&P 500, with less than 1% in Ethereum and Solana, and avoids memecoins entirely.
- She doubts Bitcoin can reach $1 million by 2030, citing diminishing returns across its four-year cycles.
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen remains cautious about Bitcoin’s rally to $79,000, telling the Trade Secrets show she is keeping a significant portion of her portfolio in stablecoins. She is watching for a drop of more than $25,000 from current prices as a potential level to buy back into Bitcoin, targeting $50,000.
However, Chen does not claim special insight into Bitcoin’s unpredictable price. She laughs, “I’m just an exchange CEO,” adding that she and her team focus on providing a trading platform rather than analyzing Bitcoin Price. She also thinks Bitcoin could end the year $20,000 higher.
Meanwhile, Chen is not enamored with altcoins, estimating that less than 1% of her portfolio is in Ethereum and Solana. She is bullish on Hyperliquid (HYPE) due to potential U.S. market entry under a more crypto-friendly regulatory environment, as indicated by President Trump. She is confident that another memecoin season is unlikely, noting that “retails are not stupid.”
Chen also doubts Bitcoin can reach $1 million by 2030. She points to diminishing returns across four-year cycles, where the ratio of all-time high to all-time low keeps decreasing. The BTC price data is tracked on CoinMarketCap. Chen was previously a host and producer at Phoenix TV before founding two companies and eventually becoming Bitget’s managing director in 2022 and CEO in 2024.
