Bernstein Report: Bitcoin Bull Run to Continue as Institutional Money Flows In

Bernstein Predicts Bitcoin Rally to $200K as Institutional Investment Surges

  • Bernstein analysts forecast continued Bitcoin bull run driven by institutional investments.
  • Bitcoin reached historic $100,000 milestone following Trump’s election victory.
  • Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth fund invested $436 million in BlackRock‘s Bitcoin ETF.
  • Major institutions including Jane Street Group, Citadel Advisors, and Morgan Stanley have made significant ETF investments.
  • Bernstein projects Bitcoin Price to reach $200,000 by end of 2025.

Institutional investors are expected to fuel Bitcoin’s continued price surge, according to a new report from global investment firm Bernstein. The cryptocurrency, currently trading at $96,044, has already gained over 86% in the past year, with analysts predicting further upside potential as traditional financial institutions increase their exposure to digital assets.

The report, authored by analysts Gautam Chhugani, Mahika Sapra, and Sanskar Chindalia, emphasizes how the approval of Bitcoin exchange-traded funds has transformed the investment landscape. "The confluence of adoption by banks, institutional investors, corporates and eventually sovereigns is positioning Bitcoin as the clear challenger to Gold," the analysts noted.

A significant development came as Mubadala Investment Company, Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth fund, invested $436 million in BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF, according to SEC filings. This move represents one of the first major sovereign wealth fund investments in cryptocurrency products.

The price of Bitcoin has maintained strong momentum since ETF approvals, with major financial institutions joining the market. Jane Street Group, Citadel Advisors, and Morgan Stanley have each allocated hundreds of millions of dollars to Bitcoin ETFs, demonstrating growing institutional confidence in the asset class.

Bitcoin ETFs, which track the cryptocurrency’s price and trade on traditional stock exchanges, have simplified crypto investment for institutional investors who previously faced regulatory or operational barriers to direct cryptocurrency ownership. This accessibility has contributed to increased market participation and price appreciation.

Looking ahead, Bernstein maintains its ambitious price target of $200,000 per Bitcoin by the end of 2025, suggesting continued institutional adoption and investment flows will support further value appreciation in the leading cryptocurrency.
