Anthropic, the developer of the Claude AI chatbot, will reportedly file its IPO on the US stock market before the end of this month, according to Bloomberg. The company is pushing to match or beat the size of SpaceX’s record-setting initial public offering, which raised $75 billion prior to its IPO.
Back in June, Anthropic, valued at close to $1 trillion, submitted a draft registration statement to the SEC. The five-year-old company raised $65 billion in May at a $965 billion valuation, surpassing rival OpenAI’s $852 billion valuation in March.
However, Anthropic saw positive adjusted operating income for the second quarter but had a net loss of almost $42 billion in 2025, a roughly fivefold increase from about $8.3 billion the year before. Consequently, it has a ways to go before beating SpaceX’s $85.7 billion threshold.
Meanwhile, Anthropic continues to ink new deals with chipmakers and top tech firms that further boost its value. Last month, it signed a deal with Advanced Micro Devices for tens of billions of dollars’ worth of artificial-intelligence servers, with AMD investing $5 billion in return.
