This latest transaction increases Semler Scientific’s total bitcoin holdings to 4,449 BTC, which is valued at approximately $467 million, given bitcoin’s recent price above $105,000. The company reported that it has acquired its full bitcoin portfolio at an average cost of $92,158 per coin, amounting to a total historical cost of $410 million.

Funds for the recent bitcoin buying spree came from Semler Scientific’s $500 million at-the-market common stock issuance program that started in mid-April. As of June 3, the company has raised $136.2 million by selling 3.5 million new shares.

The company’s year-to-date yield from their bitcoin position now stands at 26.7%. Yield here refers to the percentage gain on the company’s bitcoin investment this year due to the increase in bitcoin’s market price.

Despite the appreciation in bitcoin holdings, Semler Scientific shares showed little movement in premarket trading and are still down 35% since the start of 2025. Further details and official filings can be found in the company’s press release.
