- The Radix community, representing over 1.34 billion XRD tokens, has formally elected a five-member Radix Accountability Council (RAC).
- Peachy, Faraz, Jazzer_9F, Avaunt, and projectShift were elected as the top five nominees by approval vote.
- The council’s immediate mandate is to facilitate the transition from the Radix Foundation to a community-led governance structure by 2026.
The Radix community has decisively elected its inaugural Radix Accountability Council, finalizing a plan announced last month to guide the network’s crucial transition toward decentralization. Consequently, a consultation on the council’s size and members concluded with strong participation from 1,151 unique token holders.
Token holders first approved a five-member council size, favoring it over larger or smaller alternatives. The elected five are Peachy, Faraz, Jazzer_9F, Avaunt, and projectShift, who each received approval from a majority of the participating stake.
The top three candidates achieved an overwhelming consensus with over 92%, 83%, and 82% approval respectively. Meanwhile, the race for the final seats was exceptionally close, with less than 2 million XRD separating the fifth and sixth-place nominees.
This result indicates high alignment across the Radix community for the elected facilitators. However, as outlined in the original proposal, their role is operational rather than commanding.
The council’s immediate tasks are to establish its operational framework and coordinate the administrative handover from the Radix Foundation. Their work will act as the primary interface for executing the community’s will during the transition period leading to 2026.
