Evercore: Amazon’s Rufus AI Could Fuel 50% 2026 Rally Growth

Evercore reiterates Buy on Amazon with $335 target, citing Rufus AI, agentic commerce and AWS growth driving roughly 50% upside.

  • Amazon is positioned for growth in 2026 driven by its AI assistant Rufus and agentic commerce, per Evercore analyst Mark Mahaney.
  • Evercore reiterated a Buy rating with a $335 price target and projects about 50% upside to roughly $345 from the current ~$233 share price.
  • More than 250 million customers used Rufus last year, adding about $10 billion in gross merchandise value and helping quarterly earnings in 2025.
  • Evercore also cited growth at AWS, demand for Trainium AI chips, rising advertising revenue, and a ramp of Alexa+ as supporting factors.
  • Other firms show bullish targets as well, including Wedbush at $340 and Cantor Fitzgerald at $315.

Analysts at Evercore, led by Mark Mahaney, reiterated a Buy rating on Amazon for 2026, citing the company’s AI assistant Rufus and agentic commerce as key sales drivers. The firm set a $335 price target and projected roughly 50% upside to about $345 from the current share price near $233. Evercore pointed to developments at AWS, advertising growth, and new offerings such as Alexa+ and Trainium chips as additional support.

Amazon stock has risen just shy of 5% year to date, though an April sell-off erased most prior gains. Evercore reported that more than 250 million customers used Rufus last year, contributing an estimated $10 billion in gross merchandise value, which the firm called a major catalyst for strong quarterly earnings in 2025.

Mahaney highlighted multiple growth vectors for the company and added context on profitability and cash flow. “At the end of the day, Amazon remains a high-quality compounder (25% EPS compound annual growth rate), with solid double-digit revenue growth, expanding operating margins, and free cash flow likely to increase materially in a 24-month timeframe,” Mahaney said.

Other analysts have set higher targets than the current market price: Wedbush at $340 and Cantor Fitzgerald at $315. Evercore’s view ties customer adoption of Rufus and future agentic commerce capabilities to potential revenue gains and stronger financial performance in the coming year.
