EQTY Lab Partners with Intel, NVIDIA to Launch AI Trust Framework on Hedera

Verifiable Compute Brings Trust to AI with Hedera

  • EQTY Lab, Intel, and NVIDIA have developed a hardware-based AI verification system using Hedera‘s blockchain technology.
  • The solution implements SLSA Security Level 3 standards for AI workflow certification and verification.
  • Hedera Consensus Service creates permanent records of AI computations through trusted execution environments.
  • The system launches in Q1 2025, targeting enterprise compliance with global AI regulations.
  • Development included input from multiple government agencies, particularly in EMEA regions.

The collaboration aims to address growing concerns about AI transparency and security through hardware-level certification of computational processes.

Hardware-Based Security Integration

The new system, called Verifiable Compute, implements SLSA Security Level 3 protocols directly at the silicon level. This integration creates cryptographic certificates for:

  • AI training procedures
  • Inference operations
  • Performance benchmarking
  • Runtime verification

The Hedera Consensus Service functions as the backbone for recording these operations, providing an unalterable record of computational activities.

This architecture enables organizations to maintain detailed audit trails while protecting sensitive AI operations.

Regulatory Compliance and Implementation

According to EQTY Lab founder Jonathan Dotan: “Hedera’s enterprise-grade infrastructure, backed by a Council of global leaders like Dell Technologies, sets it apart from other blockchains by providing the scalability and security essential for bringing Verifiable Compute to market.”

The system’s development involved collaboration with regulatory bodies across EMEA regions, with particular emphasis on alignment with the EU AI Act.

A notable implementation includes the ClimateGPT Model project in the UAE, which served as an early testing ground for the verification framework.

The protocol employs trusted execution environments (TEEs) to generate verifiable attestations of computational processes. These attestations form a manifest that the Hedera network timestamps and records, creating a transparent chain of verification for AI operations.

Implementation benefits include:

  • Chronological verification of AI operations relative to security updates
  • Cross-jurisdictional policy enforcement capabilities
  • Automated compliance monitoring
  • Hardware-authenticated audit trails
