B3, a crypto gaming protocol built on Ethereum’s Base Network by former Coinbase employees, announced its acquisition of Andromeda Insights, a manufacturer of gaming computers. The move gives B3 control over both the software and hardware aspects of its gaming ecosystem. The companies plan to launch the B3PC, a new crypto-focused gaming computer, in early 2026.
The B3PC includes several features for security and blockchain gaming. The computer offers a self-destruct option for its storage drive, enabling users to delete sensitive data instantly through a secure wipe or physically destroy the memory using a high-voltage shock. It also comes with a built-in hardware wallet, encryption tools, on-chain game support, and offline transaction features. Preorders are currently available with a $200 deposit.
According to B3 co-founder Daryl Xu, the demand for high-performance gaming hardware is rising due to increased use of real-time rendering and Artificial Intelligence. “The B3PC is designed to support these requirements for crypto- and AI-driven gaming,” Xu stated. The B3 protocol already supports more than 80 games and released its native token in February.
Avalanche unveiled its free, “Battle Pass” NFT, created by Ava Labs and Playfull, to unite its gaming communities and reward cross-game activity. The NFT is available on the Magic Eden marketplace. Players can mint the NFT, register it on the Playfull site, and earn rewards—including in-game NFTs and Avalanche (AVAX) tokens—by participating in partnered games such as Off the Grid, MapleStory N, Spellborne, and DeFi Kingdoms.
Parker Heath of Ava Labs described the program as an “on-chain watering hole” that brings different gaming communities together. Avalanche games have seen robust activity, with Off the Grid reaching over 300,000 daily users and MapleStory N exceeding 770,000 users since its May debut.
Other recent gaming updates include the launch of Pengu Clash on Telegram and new in-game NFT support for the Avalanche title Forgotten Playland. Additional industry developments feature the final season launch of Square Enix’s SYMBIOGENESIS, a strategic partnership between Animoca Brands and Cross The Ages, and an announced update for The Machines Arena.
